Carolina Dunes - Community Rules and Regulations
All community access to the beach is available via three access points on Buffell Head Road.
- Access #1 is between Old Squaw Drive and Sprigtail Drive
- Access #2 is between Canvasback Drive and Wood Duck Drive
- Access #3 is between Pintail Drive and Widgeon Drive
Help us protect the dunes by using the designated walkways and stairs to the beach. Please keep off the dunes!
Carolina Dunes is very fortunate to have outstanding lifeguard service, courtesy of the Town of Duck.
- Lifeguards are stationed at the northern ocean access walkway near Sprigtail Drive from May 1 through October 1, 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- Lifeguards are stationed at the southern ocean access walkway near Widgeon Drive from June 1 through September 1, 10:00 am to 6:00pm.
Community access to the sound is available via one access point on Duck Rd at the end of Canvasback Drive. Community access is landscaped and maintained by the HOA, and features benches for relaxation, and a pier for simple fishing and crabbing. Community access does not have a boat ramp, and is inaccessible for the launching of boats.
