The annual exhibit features and eclectic mix of local art and will hang until May 30. It is free and open to the public 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon-Fri. The annual event is sponsored by the Dare County Arts council and was created to honor the shows namesake, Mollie Fearing, who was a prominent figure in the Manteo community. Fearing helped form the Sea and Sounds Arts Council that evolved into the current Dare County Arts Council.

OBX ULTRA-MARATHON

The Prime East coast will be held May 4 & 5, 2013, at Jennette's Pier in Nags Head, North Carolina.

30TH ANNUAL YUENGLING NAGS HEAD WOODS 5K RUN

MAY 11, 2013Nags Head Woods, Nags Head, NC 27959 - MAPRace course weaves through one of the best remaining examples of mid-Atlantic Maritime forest and deciduous hardwoods. On Saturday before Mother's Day, this race highlights the "Treat Your Mom to Mother's Day on the Beach" themed weekend on the Outer Banks. Runners and families from up and down the East Coast participate in the Yuengling Nags Head Woods 5K Race or the Village Realty fun run through the Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve, followed by an oceanfront post-race party at the Ramada Plaza Nags Head Beach Hotel. 5K race at 8:30 a.m. Fun Run at 8 a.m. Beach Party 12:30 - 3 p.m. In addition to the traditional race and age group trophies and medals, race trophies are presented to the "Fastest Mom on the Beach", the "Fastest Elementary School on the Beach" and the "Fastest Military Service".

NOR'BANKS SAILING: BIC SUP ONE DESIGN CHALLENGE

As sailors, we all instantly understood what this racing was about and got on board immediately. We have a great location for the event with shallow water, sandy bottom and big new pier (thanks for Irene in 2011). Our facility has lots of parking, restrooms and new showers so you can clean up after the racing is done.
