What could possibly be better than a premier food and wine festival? A food and wine festival on the beach! The Outer Banks Restaurant Association is putting on yet another annual Taste of the Beach. Beat the rush of the summer crowd to your favorite locales for this amazing 4-day event, where you can try out of all the OBXs most popular culinary bites and oenophilic sips. But don’t get us wrong, this weekend isn’t only for eating and drinking wine. There’s plenty going on, including brewery tours, paint & sips, cooking classes, champagne yoga, and oh so much more!
With such a lively festival going on in such a fabulous location, it's no wonder most events sell out. "The Top 100 List from Wine Spectator Magazine is eagerly awaited each November, with wines that make the list selling out quickly. We have a stash of 24 or so wines from 2019s list to pour at two walk-around style tastings, with a few remaining bottles available for sale at the end of the event. 12 different wines will be poured each night. Cheese and charcuterie will also be served. This is a rare chance to experience some of the world’s best wines, many of which are already gone from most store shelves."

This cornerstone event will be held at The Soundside, a sprawling event site centrally located along the picturesque Roanoke Sound in Nags Head. Featuring at least fifteen local restaurants and several top-quality beverage vendors, the Grand Tasting is an experience to remember as area chefs serve up their finest cuisine in hopes of taking home a prestigious Toby award based on both judges and people’s choice selections!
But that’s not all. In addition to a variety of tasty samplings from the Outer Banks premier chefs, the Grand Tasting hosts an annual Bartenders Bubbly Bash. This event-within-an-event showcases local bartenders as they serve up an array of signature sparkling wine cocktails - and your cash tips count as votes to determine bragging rights for the ultimate winner! A longtime crowd favorite, the Bartenders Bubbly Bash also supports a good cause, and all the collected tips are donated to the Outer Banks Beach Food Pantry.
